On Equanimity and the Impoliteness of a Corpse

I spend a lot of time meditating. It is both helpful and not helpful. For example, here’s what my brain recently popped out:
Do you remember the picnic scene in the television show Mad Men when they just get up and leave their garbage behind?
[Pats chest, checking for wallet and keys] “Hey guys, I gotta get outta here. Do you mind if I leave this skin suit behind?” [indistinct muttering] “Yeah, no it’s gonna be a mess. Oh, you do mind? Well that’s too bad, because that is what is happening.”
